I received two new awards with Johnny's Prague Photo Tours:

• LUXLife’s Awards the Best photography tour operator in Prague in 2024
• European Travel Awards 2023: Photography Tour of the Year 2023 in the Czech Republic

Looking back at the Czech Rep. Photo Tour

We had a wonderful small group of only two photographers and one non-photographing spouse, and the participants got several keepers.

During the pleasant month of May, we enjoyed wine and beer in lovely settings, such as a 270-year-old wine cellar in South Moravia. Last but not least, we had a good time and laughed a lot.

Here's just an excerpt from what Cindi had to say about the tour:

The new dates for the Czech Republic Photo Tour are May 8-18, 2025. I already have one signed-up participant, so hurry up! I cap this tour at four participants max.

Steve Perry on photographing flying birds

A friend of mine sent me a link to videos made by Steve Perry. In them, he dives deep into setting up a camera to capture fantastic photos of flying birds.

You can watch four modules entirely for free (that's what I did), and they are packed with a ton of helpful information.

I wish I had watched it before shooting Andean condors in Peru a few weeks ago…

It's a wrap

Besides the photo tour in May, we took the kids on holiday in Bulgaria in June, my wife and I went on a weekend getaway in Krkonoše National Park in the north of the Czech Republic.

In July, I organized a “three-generation trip.” I took my 80-year-old dad and son to Austria. Two years ago, my dad mentioned he’d love to see the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, and I noted it. It was a great success, as we all enjoyed it!

Are you considering taking a trip you've been dreaming of? Can you afford it? Don't postpone it, do it now. Later, it may be too late. You never know. This way, you will never regret it.

It’s a bit of a grim ending, isn't it? Well, let's just reframe it to “inspirational and motivational.” That's popular, right? :-)
