Privacy Policy
Effective from August 4, 2026
This website (www.janmiracky.com) is operated by Ing. Jan Miřacký, a sole trader registered in the Czech Trade Licensing Register maintained by the Prague 10 Municipal Authority, Company ID 88037185, registered office at Korunní 2569/108, Vinohrady, 101 00 Prague 10, Czech Republic. I am the controller of the personal data described below.
There is no data protection officer; write to me directly at hello@janmiracky.com.
What I collect, and why
Orders
When you order a calendar I collect your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, together with what you ordered and how you paid. I need this to perform the contract between us (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); without it I cannot send you a calendar.
Order records are kept for ten years, which is the retention period Czech accounting and tax law requires of me. I cannot delete them earlier, even on request.
The calendar waiting list
Your email address and, if you give it, your name. The basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), you can withdraw it with the unsubscribe link in the one email the list sends, and the entry is deleted when the edition it relates to closes.
Contact form
Name, email and your message, so I can reply. Kept for as long as the conversation is useful and no longer than three years.
Newsletter
Email address and optional name, on the basis of your consent. Every issue carries an unsubscribe link.
Analytics
Umami, self-hosted on my own server. It records the page you visited, the referring site, and coarse details such as country, browser and screen size. It sets no cookies, writes nothing to your device and does not follow you across other websites, so there is nothing here that identifies you and nothing to consent to. It runs on my legitimate interest in knowing which pages are worth keeping.
Google Analytics 4, which does set cookies and does process personal data, including a shortened form of your IP address, on Google's infrastructure. It loads only if you accept analytics cookies. Decline, or simply ignore the banner, and the Google tag is never added to the page at all — this is not a setting that quietly collects anyway.
If you accepted earlier and would rather I erased what has already been collected about you, write to me and I will.
Cookies and other storage on your device
Some of what this site stores is needed for it to work at all: remembering whether you chose the light or dark appearance, keeping the forms free of bots, and keeping me signed in to the order administration. Czech law treats that as necessary and it needs no permission.
Everything else is off until you say otherwise. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them, and you can change your mind at any time through the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing is as quick as consenting was, and the cookies concerned are deleted when you do.
This is the full list of what may be stored, whether it is a cookie or another form of browser storage:
Strictly necessary
| Name | Type | Set by | What it does | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cc_cookie | Cookie | janmiracky.com | Stores your own cookie choices, so you are not asked on every page. | 12 months |
| theme | Local storage | janmiracky.com | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark appearance. | Until you clear your browser storage |
| cta-dismissed | Session storage | janmiracky.com | Remembers that you closed the newsletter button, so it stays closed. | Until you close the tab |
| jm_admin | Cookie | janmiracky.com | Sign-in session for the operator-only administration. Never set for ordinary visitors. | 12 hours |
| cf_clearance | Cookie | Cloudflare Turnstile | Confirms a form was submitted by a person rather than a bot. Set only when you use a form. | 30 minutes |
Analytics
| Name | Type | Set by | What it does | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Cookie | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes one visitor from another, so repeat visits are not counted as new people. | 2 years |
| _ga_XL63M9XPKG | Cookie | Google Analytics 4 | Keeps the state of a single visit — when it began and which pages it covered. | 2 years |
Your choice is remembered for twelve months, after which you are asked again. I keep a record that a choice was made — the date, which categories were accepted and which version of this notice was on screen — because Czech law requires consent to be demonstrable. That record contains no IP address and nothing else that identifies you.
Who else sees it
I use the following processors, each only for the purpose listed and each bound by a data processing agreement:
- Supabase (EU region) stores orders, waiting list entries, contact form submissions and the record of cookie consent.
- Stripe card payments. Stripe receives your email and the amount; I never see or store your card details.
- Packeta (Zásilkovna) and Czech Post delivery. They receive the name, address or pickup point, phone number and email needed to deliver the parcel and notify you.
- Resend sends the order and waiting list emails.
- MailerLite sends the newsletter.
- Cloudflare checks that the forms are being used by a person rather than a bot. It sees your IP address and browser for the length of that check. This runs on my legitimate interest in not having the forms flooded, and it is necessary for the forms to work at all.
- Google (Google Analytics 4) website measurement, and only if you accepted analytics cookies. Google then receives your device and browser details and a shortened IP address. Umami is not on this list because it runs on my own server, so nobody else sees that data.
- Sanity and Hostinger content management and hosting.
Some of these process data outside the EU. Where they do, the transfer relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. I do not sell personal data and I do not share it for advertising.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask for access to your data, its correction or erasure, a restriction on its processing, a copy in a portable format, or you may object to processing. Where processing rests on consent you may withdraw it at any time, which does not affect what was done before.
Email hello@janmiracky.com and I will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, uoou.cz.
