Tour highlights, critique wisdom & your next big adventure?

Hi, I'm Jan
I'm a travel photographer based in Prague, and I've been leading photo tours across 35+ countries for over 10 years. My work has appeared in Lonely Planet, National Geographic Traveller UK, and various international publications.
This newsletter is my way of sharing what I learn in the field — the same tips I give my tour participants, written like a letter from a friend. I read and reply to every response personally.

Common questions
What kind of emails will I receive?
Each email includes a practical photography tip wrapped in a real story, updates on upcoming photo tours, and a curated gallery with full EXIF data. Think of it as a personal letter from a photographer friend — not a corporate newsletter.
How often will you email me?
About once a month — sometimes a bit more when there's exciting news, sometimes a bit less. I only send when I have something genuinely useful to share. Your inbox won't be overwhelmed.
Can I unsubscribe?
Of course — one click and you're out. No guilt trips, no hoops to jump through. I'd rather have a small list of people who actually want to be here.
Is this really free?
Yes, 100% free. No paid tiers, no paywalls. I occasionally mention my photo tours, but the tips and stories are always free and always the main focus.
Ready to level up your photography?
No pressure at all. Just an open door.
