Explore Uzbekistan’s highlights on a small-group journey and photograph its iconic architecture, streets, and cultural atmosphere.

Uzbekistan is one of those rare destinations where almost every frame feels like a discovery. The Silk Road cities of Khiva, Bukhara, and Samarkand offer massive tiled facades, intricate mosaics, and light that shifts from warm sand tones at dawn to deep turquoise at blue hour. I've scouted rooftop terraces, quiet minarets, and hidden courtyards that give you compositions most visitors never see.

In Bukhara we photograph the towering Kalyan Minaret, the ancient Ark citadel, and the photogenic Chor Minor tucked away in the backstreets. Samarkand's Registan square and the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis are the visual highlights, the contrast of sand-colored walls against turquoise domes is something I never get tired of shooting.

Beyond the iconic monuments, this tour dips into everyday life: bustling bazaars, traditional paper workshops, local tea houses, and, if the timing is right, a lively Sunday animal market. Over twelve days you'll build a rich, layered portfolio that goes well beyond postcard shots of famous landmarks.
